Websites & web design

The website that books.

Tee time in three steps, membership without a call-back, tournament without a notice board — and a club office that gains time. I plan and build pages that turn visitors into enquiries. See for yourself: the showcase club.

Why a beautiful website alone isn't enough.

A page without visitors is a brochure in a drawer. That's why every website I build gets tracking from day one and a visibility strategy to go with it — the Experience stage of G.R.E.E.N. sits between Reach and Elevate, not beside them.

What I actually do

Booking path before design.

I don't start with colours but with the journey: how does a guest get from the search to a confirmed tee time, a prospect to a membership enquiry? Only once that's set does the layout emerge.

My sign-off standard

  • Booking or enquiry journey in three steps at most
  • Mobile sign-off before desktop sign-off
  • Forms tested — including the confirmation email
  • Tracking through to the enquiry, consent-compliant
  • Redirects for every old URL
  • Structured data for golf course, FAQ, organisation
  • Roles and a short guide for your team in the CMS
  1. 01

    The journey first.

Every page gets a job: book a tee time, register for a taster course, find a membership, request guest play. Whatever doesn't serve that job goes — even if it's pretty.

  2. 02

    Mobile first, fast always.

Pages are signed off on the phone before they please on the desktop: load time, tap targets, forms with few fields, images at the right size.

  3. 03

    Connected to the club system.

Tee times, members and tournaments live in PC CADDIE, Albatros & Co. The website doesn't replace that — it puts a better interface in front and integrates what can be integrated.

  4. 04

Content that searchers and AI can read.

Structure, copy with facts, structured data and clean multilingual setup are part of the build, not an afterthought. So the new site gets found, not just admired.

  5. 05

    Relaunch without losing rankings.

Redirects, existing URLs, form tests and tracking sign-off are part of go-live. Platform by goal: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace — or static, when speed counts.

The booking path

From the search to the tee time — in three steps.

Step 1 · Mobile
Mobile home page of the showcase club

Home page: tee time and membership are the first two buttons — not “About us”.

Step 2 · Choose
Tee-time selection with booking panel

Day, time, players, add-ons — one screen, price visible, no registration first.

Step 3 · Confirmed
Confirmed booking in the booking panel

Paid in one step. Instant confirmation, no phone call needed — even at 10 pm.

45 seconds through the showcase club: found, played, run. All interfaces are really clickable; course and people scenes are AI-generated, the club is fictional.

The most beautiful page is the one where people book.

In short

The questions operators ask me.

Having a golf club website built — what must it do?

Four things: make tee times or taster courses bookable online, let people find the right membership in a few questions, load fast on the phone and take work off the club office instead of creating it. The showcase club shows what that looks like — with tee times, membership matcher, tournaments and back office.

Relaunch or revision?

Usually a targeted revision of the booking flow and local visibility is enough. A complete relaunch only when the technical base demands it — outdated system, no mobile rendering, no access to tracking. I check that in the audit before recommending anything.

FAQ

And what else matters.

Which platform do you recommend for a golf club?

The one your team can maintain and that fits the club system. Often WordPress or Webflow; Shopify for retailers; static sites when speed and security come first. The platform follows the goal — not the other way round.

Can the website book tee times directly?

The booking itself runs in your club system. The website leads there without detours or embeds the booking mask where the system allows it. What's possible for you, I clarify in the audit with your system provider.

How long does a website project take?

A landing page takes weeks, a relaunch months — the schedule is fixed in the proposal, with sign-off dates. The most common delay is missing content; that's why we settle copy and images before the start.

Who maintains the site afterwards?

Your team, in the CMS. I set up roles, deliver a short guide and — if you want — stay on board for development, visibility and campaigns.

How I work

Four steps — from first call to ongoing collaboration.

01

Discovery call

30 minutes, free. You describe the situation, I listen — and tell you honestly whether I can help.

02

Audit

I measure before I recommend: account, tracking, visibility, booking path. Written result, with priorities.

03

Setup sprint

Foundation first: tracking, structure, the first campaigns or pages. Fixed scope, fixed timeframe.

04

Ongoing support

Monthly leadership and execution, quarterly strategy review.
